This role leads engineering, design, and product development for distribution hardware, ensuring all solutions meet global performance and safety standards. The position requires deep technical expertise to translate customer and utility requirements into high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective products. It involves working closely with prototype, testing, QA, production, and tender teams to support development cycles end-to-end. The Sr. Manager/AGM also drives innovation and continuous improvement to maintain IAC’s leadership in engineered T&D hardware solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of distribution line fittings and accessories
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and international standards
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing and test validations
- Support tender teams with technical documentation and approvals
- Drive design optimization, cost improvements, and product innovation
- Mentor and guide engineering teams across multiple projects
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 6–8 years of engineering/design experience in T&D hardware
- Strong understanding of IS/IEC/BS standards and load calculations
- Ability to manage multiple development projects and lead teams
